This report measures and catalogs the successes of the Main Street Approach™ in communities throughout Michigan. The Main Street Approach™ is an economic development strategy that focuses on historic preservation and building upon a community’s authentic sense of place.
The report was commissioned by the Michigan Main Street Center, which is housed within the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). MEDC assists communities interested in revitalizing and preserving their traditional commercial district by developing their own Main Street program.
